LEGAL BILLING ASSISTANT - US LAW FIRM - EXCELLENT SALARY & BENEFITS!

This is an excellent opportunity if you are currently working in a legal billing administration/junior assistant role to step into a Legal Billing Assistant position working for one of the top US law firms in the world! The role is to provide billing and admin support to the European billing team, with duties consisting of:

• Producing draft invoices, finalising invoices and credit notes, and bill preparation
• Maintaining billing information in database
• Assist in the preparation of information for finance and WIP meetings
• Ensuring WIP notes updated
• Generate time and billing reports and other client reports on demand
• Upload electronic invoices ("ebilling") upon request
• Assist with bill re-issues/amendments
• Administer time and costs transfers and write-offs
• Ensure compliance with VAT and Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Perform various administrative duties such as duplicating and scanning of invoices, electronic filing etc.
• Assist with the checking, printing, eprinting, and distribution of monthly proformas to lawyers and partners

Required:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an international law firm
• Highly numerate
• Some knowledge and awareness of VAT

Preferred:

• Experience working within 3E (or a similar accounting system)
• Good understanding of ebilling Hub, and other Electronic billing systems.
